Hands Across the Sand
June 26, 2010 | 11 am |Tybee Island near the Pier
Hands Across the Sand is a movement made of people of all walks of life and crosses political affiliations. This movement is not about politics; it is about protection of our coastal economies, oceans, marine wildlife, and fishing industry. Let us share our knowledge, energies and passion for protecting all of the above from the devastating effects of oil drilling.
Please help spread the word about the Tybee gathering to support clean energy and oppose offshore drilling.
Come out to Hands Across the Sand on Tybee this Saturday (June 26th) to show your support for a renewable energy future. Come to the beach at 11. At noon we'll join hands along the waterline from Center to 19th Streets and build a human boom to stop the oil. We're going to make a statement government officials can't ignore-that we won't let the oil industry endanger our entire way of life for a short-term profit.
